A day after devastating earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria, drone footage flew over cities with collapsed buildings and where rescue efforts were underway as the death toll passed 5,000.
Areas in Turkey and Syria devastated by earthquakes may need years to recover from the destruction, the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) said on Tuesday.
Hatay, which borders northwest Syria, is the worst-hit province in Turkey with at least 872 people killed during the earthquake.
In Hatay alone, more than 1,200 buildings have been destroyed.
